Richard C. Demerle has been practicing law since 2002 with a focus on mortgage default servicing and landlord-tenant law. Mr. Demerle represents several national lenders and loan servicers on their real property legal issues including post-foreclosure evictions, defense of secured claims in U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, resolving condominium liens and receivership actions, and defending lenders in commercial litigation.
Prior to law school, Mr. Demerle served as a legislative aide to the Massachusetts House Ways & Means Committee where he spearheaded the Haverhill Land Bank campaign dedicated to preserving open space in the City of Haverhill. Mr. Demerle also worked as a reporter for two of the largest daily newspapers in Massachusetts, The Lowell Sun and The Eagle-Tribune.
