Lewis has been practicing law since 1970. His background was in litigation where he successfully litigated many cases in state and federal courts. Lew's concentration is in the areas of business law, corporate reorganization through the Bankruptcy Court or by common law restructuring. Lew's other areas of expertise are in aviation law, commercial law and business acquisitions. In the international arena, Lew represents businesses with contacts in Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Taiwan, India, Hong Kong, England and Canada.

His successes include:

  • Managing for clients a significant number of sophisticated civil trials.
  • Negotiating complex workouts with financial institutions.
  • Filing and confirming complicated Chapter 11 bankruptcies for debtors.
  • Legal services for divestitures, roll-ups and other types of business acquisitions.
  • Representing hotels, restaurants and other liquor establishments.
  • Representing emerging high-tech companies in connection with venture capital funds or private placements.
  • Representing banks and other parties in complex workout situations.

In addition to maintaining his practice, Lew enjoys raising his five children, skiing, golf, tennis, travel and the opera.
